If you love barbecuing as much as we do, you'll be thrilled to hear the exciting news - National Barbecue Week is fast approaching! Launched for the first time in 1997, National Barbecue Week is the perfect way to celebrate your love for barbecuing, along with the start of summer.

We at Riverside are firm believers that you can never have too many barbecues, so we've put together a whole week's worth of suggestions for tasty treats for you to grill up to celebrate.

Monday 28th

What better way to spend a bank holiday than a barbecue with your friends? Why not try cooking a joint of meat, likethis lamb shoulder or pork bellythat we cooked on the new Pulse Electric barbecue? Nothing beats a good steak, so why not try thesewasabi horse-radishinfused steaks, seared to perfection on a cast iron searing grate.

If meat isn't really your cup of tea, try a warm salad, like thisherby vegetable salad. Alternatively, nothing beats fresh grilled fish - trythis sea bass recipe, or fresh mackerel fillets to really get the party started.

Tuesday 29th

After the over-exertion of the bank holiday Monday, why not go a little lighter and stick with vegetables on the Tuesday? There are so many delicious ways to cook vegetables on a barbecue, you'll be spoilt for choice!

Try this Jamaican jerkinfused roasted squash and carrotsfor beautifully caramelised vegetables with a kick of heat. Why not try tandoori vegetables or paneer tikka?

Not all vegetarian dishes have to be vegetables, givethese charred mushroomsa try with cheese and a herby green sauce. Or try cooking up someperi-perichipson the rotisserie with a smoky mayonnaise sauce.

Wednesday 30th

Happy Humpday! Why not grill up some delicioushumpday hamburgers? Toast up some buns on the warming rack, form your patties with aburgerorslider press- try halloumi burgers or bean burgers if you're a vegetarian - and get grilling!

Burger toppings are a serious business, we favour cheese and salad, and no burger is complete without pickles! Try frying up an egg or some bacon on a griddle to go on top of yours. Every burger needs sauce, we love theMississippi barbecue sauces. Or, for a more traditional finish, try theFrench's Classic Yellow Mustard.

Thursday 31st

Why not try something a little different on Thursday and make dessert on the barbecue? When you say 'barbecue' most people think of sausages and burgers, but dessert on the barbecue couldn't be easier - or more delicious!

Give thesechocolate muffins baked in orange skinsa go for an exciting treat - perfect for adults and children alike, and they cook in just 15 minutes!

If you can't possibly wait that long to tuck into a delicious dessert just grill up some fruit - it takes minutes and tastes absolutely amazing. Try pineapple, peaches or nectarines, and serve with ice cream or sorbet for a delicious and hassle-free barbecued dessert.

There really is no limit to what you can cook on a barbecue - if you've got theWeber® Dutch Oven, or something similar, you can cook a multitude of desserts, including pies, crumbles, cakes, and more!

Friday 1st

What better way to unwind after a long week than with a home-barbecued pizza? Weber® produce a myriad ofpizza accessories, perfect for cooking amazing pizza on any barbecue.

Make your own pizza dough - or buy pre-made - roll out your base, top with the sauce and toppings of your choice and cook on a pre-heated pizza stone, or ceramic grilling stone, with the lid down.

With a cooking time of around four minutes, once your barbecue is up to temperature, there really isn't a more hassle-free meal around!

Saturday 2nd

Use the extra free time the weekend provides to smoke on your barbecue. Be it gas or charcoal, there are no limitations - invite the whole family over to enjoy a delicious smoked meal.
